Jenkintown, Pennsylvania (November 28, 2017) – Pitcairn, an innovator and leader in the family office industry, is expanding its employee-led #PitcairnGivesBack initiative by continuing the company’s annual support of the #GivingTuesday movement, a global day of giving that encourages philanthropy and generosity worldwide. #GivingTuesday takes place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which falls this year on November 28.
“Our #PitcairnGivesBack initiative and support of #GivingTuesday demonstrate how every act of generosity counts, now and throughout the year.” says President and CEO Leslie Voth.
Pitcairn is once again participating in the movement by supporting Philabundance, the Delaware Valley’s largest hunger relief organization. Employees are delivering over 450 pounds of non-perishable food items to the organization that were collected during Pitcairn’s annual November food drive.
This holiday season, in conjunction with #PitcairnGivesBack, employees are sponsoring For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides adult cancer patients facing rigorous treatment or guarded diagnosis with an opportunity to create memorable moments with their caregivers, children, and loved ones. Employees are adopting a family for the holidays, purchasing gifts from their Christmas list.
