Genine IfflaDirector of Family Learning
As Director of Family Learning, Genine supports the development and implementation of Pitcairn’s Family Learning offering as a key component of the Wealth Momentum® service model. Family Learning, as defined by Pitcairn, includes wealth education surrounding financial literacy, values and culture, decision making and communication, philanthropy, and development of the rising generation, delivered in a variety of flexible and personalized formats. In this role, she is a key member of both Gen7 Project™ and Wealth Momentum® and leads the build-out and execution of a host of learning opportunities for family members.
With a background in teaching, coaching, and consulting, Genine brings a diverse depth and perspective to her work. Prior to joining Pitcairn, Genine was a full-time MBA Candidate working as a Senior Associate at Dimensional Fund Advisors, a Strategy Consultant for Wells Fargo Digital Labs, and an Advisor to the startup accelerator DivInc. Before completing her MBA, she was the Director of Events and Principal Trainer for Independent Means, Inc., providing customized financial and human capital education to families and family offices, financial institutions, and non-profit organizations. During her tenure at IMI, she worked closely with UHNW families and advisors on incorporating financial education programming as well as spearheading customized curriculum development. Early in her career, Genine spent four years in Seoul, South Korea teaching ESL and coaching Korean executives in business communications and global interaction skills.
Genine’s altruistic nature has led to her involvement in many worthwhile organizations, most recently having served as 2018 Co-President of the Graduate Women in Business at the McCombs School of Business and as a 2018 Board Fellow and Board Member for the United Way for Greater Austin. She has also led several volunteer programs including financial literacy training in Cambodia and a parallel social entrepreneurship track for children of delegates at Opportunity Collaboration, a global network of leaders dedicated to building sustainable solutions to poverty and injustice.
Genine holds an MBA with dual concentrations in Finance and Strategy & Innovation from the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Intercultural and Political Communication Studies from Florida State University. She is an avid traveler at 40 countries and counting, and a self-proclaimed adventurer and foodie.
