Stephen A. Shebell, CPAFiduciary Tax Manager
Steve is a key member of the Middle Office Services Team (MOST), and is responsible for the tax compliance process for Pitcairn’s investment management and trust accounts. He prepares Pitcairn’s fiduciary income tax returns and provides income tax planning for trust matters.
Steve has over 25 years of experience in the tax and accounting industry. Prior to joining Pitcairn in 2016, Steve was the founder and sole proprietor of Stephen A. Shebell, CPA, offering tax preparation and eldercare services. Before launching his firm in 2009, Steve worked at Merrill Lynch for 13 years where he developed his accounting, tax, and customer service skills. Early in his career, Steve was an auditor with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and an accountant at The Vanguard Group.
Steve holds an MBA from Monmouth University and a BA from Gettysburg College. He is a graduate of the Cannon Trust School (Tax). Steve is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the New Jersey Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
When Steve’s not at Pitcairn, he enjoys staying active through biking, swimming, running 5Ks, and keeping his English Setter happy.
