As a manager in Pitcairn’s CFO Services group, Michael oversees accounting, financial reporting, and financial management for our ultra-high-net-worth client families and their entities. He collaborates with clients and advisors to deliver clear, accurate financial insights supporting decisions on taxes, investments, liquidity, and estate planning. He also works with external professionals to coordinate the financial operations and reporting for our family office clients.
Prior to joining Pitcairn, Michael was a member of the Transaction Advisory Services team at CBIZ, where he focused on financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. He conducted quality-of-earnings analyses on more than 100 buy-side and sell-side transactions involving middle-market companies with revenues ranging from $5 million to $250 million across industries including manufacturing, industrials, retail, and technology. His work involved analyzing historical financial and operational data, evaluating EBITDA adjustments, assessing working capital requirements, and communicating key financial insights to investors and management teams.
Earlier in his career, Michael worked in PwC’s assurance practice, auditing financial statements for insurance and banking clients and evaluating internal controls over financial reporting.
Michael’s expertise includes financial accounting, data analysis, transaction due diligence, financial reporting, and translating complex information into actionable insights. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Pennsylvania. He earned a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from Pennsylvania State University.
Born and raised in the Philadelphia metro area, Michael is an avid sports fan and has been a season ticket holder for the Philadelphia Eagles since childhood. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, tennis, and basketball, exploring new restaurants and cuisines, and making new memories with family and friends.
