Technology Experience Specialist

Brian Hou

As a member of the Information Technology team, Brian provides support and training to help Pitcairn staff and clients fully utilize the technology resources available to them.

In addition to helping new employees become comfortable with hardware, software, telecommunications, and audiovisual tools, Brian is responsible for troubleshooting software and hardware issues. He also serves as the firm’s cybersecurity training champion, proactively educating and updating employees to guard against cyber-related risks. In addition, Brian acts as a liaison with technology vendors and consultants.

Before joining Pitcairn, Brian was an Intermediate Desktop Support Specialist for the Kidney Epidemiology and Cost Center at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. While serving in this role, he implemented department-wide software upgrades, introduced new web-based application tools, and led the department’s transition to remote work during the pandemic.

Brian earned a Master of Science in Business Analytics and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Michigan.

An avid tennis player, Brian has recently spent less time on the court and more on the links as he focuses on sharpening his golf game. He also loves traveling to new places, especially the chance to sample local cuisines and experience the great outdoors through hiking and camping.
